Joyce Strellner

Joyce first started wakesurfing when she met Mack in 2017. In 2018 she dropped the rope and from there started competing that fall!  She was instantly amazed by the strong sense of community and friendship among the athletes!  She finds that the friendliness and kindness in the community is truly awe inspiring!

Joyce has a knee injury but the 4’5” Pure Tripp it kind to it!  Riding it as a 2 fin set up vs quad, she finds it perfect for grinds, stalls 360’s, aggressive slashes and other moves that would normally street her knee.  She feels her Tripp gives her board control that is unrivalled with other boards in their quiver and has now retired them!

She says “I am proud to be a surfing grandmother (JoJo) and show others you can start this sport at any age!  We are super stoked to have her as part of the Pure Wakesurf team!
