How to Protect Your Wakesurf Board and Make It Last Longer
Your Pure Wakesurf board is built for performance, fun, and long days on the water. With the right care, it will keep delivering season after season. Here’s how to make sure your board stays in top shape.
Title
1. Keep It Cool
Heat is one of the biggest threats to your board. Prolonged direct sunlight and high temps can cause delamination (bubbling), which is not covered under warranty.
Do not leave your board on top of or directly under the Bimini where it touches fabric.
On hot days, dip your board in the water throughout the day to keep it cool.
Title
2. Store It the Right Way
When you’re not riding, keep your board protected.
Use a board sock or padded bag when storing or transporting. If it’s a board bag, leave it slightly unzipped on hot days to avoid the “pizza oven effect.”
Do not leave your board loose in the boat or truck bed.
Storing indoors in a cool, dry place is always best.
Title
3. Watch the Fins
Fins are one of the most vulnerable parts of your setup.
Remove fins when the board is not in use to prevent accidental damage.
Carry a fin key in your boat bag so you can tighten or swap fins when needed.
Do not over-tighten the fin box screw.
Title
4. Avoid the Wrong Racks
Not all racks are safe for performance boards.
Do not use clamp-style or bungee-style board racks, which can crack or dent your board.
Stick with padded storage solutions like board socks, padded bags, or racks made for wakesurf boards that cradle rail-to-rail.
Title
5. Handle With Care
Pure boards are light and precise, designed for performance. Treat them with care.
Avoid dings, cracks, and impacts.
Do not exceed the rider weight limit listed for your board.
Never stand on your board when it’s out of the water and don’t lean it on sharp edges.
Title
6. Fix Dings the Right Way
If you see damage, repair it quickly. Water intrusion can cause bigger problems over time.
Always seal dings with epoxy resin only, never polyester.
For major repairs, bring it to a trusted repair shop or contact Pure Wakesurf to schedule a repair.
Title
7. Inspect Regularly
Before every session, give your board a quick look over. Small cracks or dings are easier to fix before they turn into bigger issues.

Final Word
Your board is part of every ride, every carve, and every new trick. Keep it cool, store it safe, and repair it the right way, and it will be ready for you every time you hit the water.
